1964 Transitional Bandmaster. Bought it in
1978 for $300.00 from
A.C. at Torp's on Rice
St.
I used this amp HARD (which is evidenced by
the wear and tear) for many years. The routine
was, Bandmaster in the back seat of the '67
Chev, P.A. in the trunk.

Served me well for many years until I got the
'60 Bassman. It rested comfortably on my
backroom shelf until pressed into service as
Cliff's amps were not performing.

Great old amp & it's magical too.
The left amp is a '87 Fender Champ 12. Great sounding
little tube combo. 12 watts through a 12 " speaker. Fender
heaven!

This tweed amp is my
'60 Bassman. I can get that nice
Fender tone & when pushed, Marshall city! My favorite amp
for the last 11 years. Certainly shows it's age. I never fully
trust that leather handle though. I think I have a reissue
rubber handle somewhere. Some nights I find that the tubes
have dropped out & rolling around in the back. Plug 'em
back in & go. Fender reliability!
Red knob Champs rule!
this stain was from that bar in Minneapolis, this stain was from Debbie, this stain....
Ah! Effects! What was cool in the '60's and '70's became uncool in the '80's and cool again in the '90's and still today!
Here are a bunch of the boxes that stuck with me over the years.
Top Row: Thomas Organ Crybaby (bought new in the '70's), Boss Acoustic Simulator (great for when you don't wanna haul around your
J-200), Japan-made Boss CE-2 chorus (warm and rich, baby!), Boss DM-2 analog delay( traded A.C. a Crybaby for this. And hey, they
don't include 'anal' in analog for nuthin!),Early series Ibanez Stereo Box.( traded Tingler a MXR Phase 90), I never got an 808, but i do
have a Ibanez TS-9 (beat but still kicking), Stevie Ray approved Japan-made Ibanez TS-10 (mine still has the plastic on the front!).
Middle row: Multi-Kord tremolo box, Rapco a/b switcher(hey, you too can run two amps at once!),MXR reissue Distortion +, Block
logo MXR Distortion +( gift from Jack Zitzer), Block logo MXT Phase 45, SansAmp GT 2 (great fro recording!),
Bottom row: Tube Works Real Tube, Danelectro BLT slapback echo, Danelectro Pepperoni Phaser, Danelectro Dan-Echo, Two Ibanez
Soundtank TS-5's (touted to be just like the TS-9's but I find them to have just a hair more gain. Not bad for a little pedal. Get while you
can afford them!)

Left: 1975 Vibrolux
I bought this amp recently before the
prices went too high. Silverface amps
were for years touted as the scourge of
the world. Smaller silverface amps, like
the Vibrolux here, remined virtually the
same as their blackface kin. Great amp!
1980's JCM 800 2210 on rightBought
this amp new. I thought I wanted to be
a rock star until I descovered that I had
to haul this refridgerator around!
These amps have since become classics
as well.

Marshall rules!
One trick pony, but it does that trick well!
